Peanut butter and tofu! Now that sounds like a dream made in heaven! If that sounds good to you then you better keep reading!

The first time I had Satay was when I was a small child, I was on vacation with my family and we went to an Indonesian restaurant and it was the only thing that sounded appetizing to me at that age.

Now my family asks for it at least a few times a month so its a staple in our house. Give the recipe a try and it will become a staple in your as well!

Satay Tofu Stir-fry


2/3 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup soy sauce, tamari, or liquid aminos
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp chile powder
1 tsp garlic powder

1 block of firm tofu
1 cup broccoli florets
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup snow peas
1/2 cup baby corn
2 tbsp soy sauce, tamari, or liquid aminos
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tsp powdered ginger
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp white pepper


In a medium saucepan mix together all of your satay sauce ingredients and heat on medium. Leave on the stove cooking while moving on to the next step stirring occasionally.

Now in a large wok or frying pan heat your oil up on medium high heat. Drop in your tofu and add in 1 tbsp of your soy sauce. once the tofu is starting to brown add in your vegetables with the remaining soy sauce, ginger, garlic and white pepper. Cook until the vegetables are fork tender.

Remove your stir-fry and sauce from the stove and serve over rice!
